Early life

Tsering Dorjee was born in Toe Bawa in Ngari, Western Tibet. In 1986, he enrolled in the

, Dharamshala, India at the age of 16 to pursue his love for art and music. Graduating from the art school in 1994 with an advanced degree in Tibetan dance, music and opera. He obtained his master's degree in 2000 and continued working as an arts instructor for the institute. To further pursue his passion for acting he attended acting training in France, The Netherlands, India and Barbizon International School of Acting and Modeling in San Francisco, USA.


Career

In 2000, after graduating from the arts school he worked as an arts instructor and in-house artists for the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts in Dharamshala, India . In 1999, he acted in Oscar nominated movie ‘
