Anthony Eden Rand (September 1, 1939 – May 1, 2020) was an American attorney and politician who served as a member of the North Carolina General Assembly from 1981 to 1989 and again from 1995 to 2009.


Early life

Rand was born in southern

After serving for seven years, Rand left the Assembly to launch an unsuccessful bid for

. Rand returned to the state Senate in 1995, where he served until his resignation in 2009. His district included Bladen and Cumberland counties.
