Plot synopsis
Alexandre is a 15-year-old boy who lives alone with his father, enduring relentless physical violence. To escape from his daily life, Alex rows on the
Meuse
The Meuse ( , , , ; wa, Moûze ) or Maas ( , ; li, Maos or ) is a major European river, rising in France and flowing through Belgium and the Netherlands before draining into the North Sea from the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta. It has a t ...
, and has only one obsession: to win the Singles event at the Belgian Championships. At the rowing club, coach Sergi teams Alex with Pablo, despite their initial dislike for each other, and they win the Doubles event at the Belgian championships.
