There were 3,672 inhabitants in 863 households at the following census of 2011, by which time the rural district had separated in the establishment of Golgir District. At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,664 in 1,002 households. The largest of its 80 villages was Bazar Tombi, with 708 people.
