Political career

Sáringer-Kenyeres began his political career in 2002, when he became mayoral candidate of Fidesz in Keszthely during the 2002 local elections. He joined the party after the elections and became a member of the Cultural Board. He joined Keszthely branch of the Christian Democratic People's Party (KDNP) in 2005 and elected its chairman in 2006. He was elected a member of the General Assembly of Zala County in the 2006 local elections.
