Located in the northern part of the county, it borders the following townships: * Orange Township, Shelby County – north * Brown Township – east * Lostcreek Township – southeast corner * Staunton Township – south * Washington Township – west Much of western Springcreek Township is occupied by the city of Piqua.

Springcreek Township was established in 1814, and named for its

Government

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1.
