History

Seneca was the oldest vocational high school in Buffalo, and was constructed three months after the first vocational school in the state of New York was completed. The building was constructed in 1925 and received an addition in 1925. Seneca High School stopped admitting new students in 2006, although it remained open so that the remaining classes of 2007 and 2008 were allowed to graduate. In the fall of 2006, the school reopened as the Math Science and Tech Prep at Seneca. From 2010 to 2012, the Seneca building was renovated by LPCiminelli.
