Southall Travel was founded in 1984 in the United Kingdom. In its infancy, it was a small travel agency that served the Asian UK market with bookings mainly in India and Asia. The company grew from revenues of £500,000 in 1991 to revenues of £240 million in 2011. Kuljinder Bahia was appointed as the company's managing director in 1997 at the age of 24. He is attributed with growing sales of the company 63% a year during the time period of 2001 to 2004.
