Geography
The Shughnon Range stretches between the river valleys of the
Gunt
The Gunt (russian: Гунт, tg, Ғунд ''Ghund'' or Аличур ''Alichur'', historically in English also ''Ghund'') is a river in the south of Tajikistan, north of the Shughnon Range. It is long and has a basin area of . in the north and its tributary the
Shakhdara in the south. Its slopes are covered in alpine meadows and
steppe.
There are glaciated areas in the range.
