Early life

Sathish hails from a village, Yaladahalli in
Mandya district Mandya District is an administrative district of Karnataka, India. The district is bordered on the south by Mysore district, Mysore and Chamarajanagar district, Chamarajangar districts, on the west by Hassan District, on the north by Tumkur Di ...
, Karnataka. He was born into a family of farmers. His family went through a lot of ups and downs. Unable to bear the mental stress, Sathish ran away from home at the age of 16 and landed in Bangalore. He began working as a canteen boy, selling tea and popcorn, in Gopal Theatre, Yeshwanthpur. He worked several odd jobs in one year to sustain himself. His mother (Avva) soon came to know of his whereabouts and took him back to his village.


Theatre

Sathish began acting in street plays and gave more than a hundred shows in hundreds of villages and towns. He soon joined an amateur theatre group called 'Janadhani'. His first play from the troop was 'Smashana Kurukshetra', written by
