History
In 1970, the year of the establishment under the name of the Enterprise of Fine Ceramic Products for Constructions — Sanex; the production of sanitary ware begins.
In 1971, production of faience tiles begins.
In 1973, production of ceramic tiles begins.
In 1975–1980, the product range is expanded by the production of pigments and chips, special refractory parts, bricks and ceramic blocks.
In 1990, the company changes its name to Sanex and becomes a joint stock company.
In 1992, the extensive refurbishment project begins.
In 1994, two fast-burning lines are put into operation, one for tiles and the other for tiles.
In 1996:
* The production line for decorations (belts and medallions) with special decorative effects (glass, gold, platinum) is put into operation.
* The management and the Employees Association conclude a contract with the State Property Fund, for the acquisition of 51% of the company.
* The refurbishment process started in 1992 is coming to an end.
In 1997:
* Sanex is listed on the

In 2000–2001, Romania-Moldova Investment Fund Direct Fund acquires 67% of shares through the purchase of shares and through a capital increase process.

* Sanex narrows its manufacturing range by giving up the production of sanitary ware.
* Sanex becomes a member of the Austrian group
