On the direct elections held on June 2, 2013 Sandra Švaljek was appointed the first Deputy Mayor of the City of Zagreb and exercised the duty until 20 November 2014 and again from 10 March to 27 March 2015. With the Zagreb County Court decisions concerning the prohibition and elimination of the prohibition of carrying out his professional duties to the Mayor Milan Bandic, from 21 November 2014 to 9 March 2015 she was the Acting Mayor of Zagreb.
