Overview

The school serves 421 students from K-8 under current interim Head of School, Peter McCormack (who joined in January 2022). SFDS is one of (if not) the only private, nonsectarian schools in the city to not require language immersion or specialty-focused student body, for a well-rounded education and student life.

SFDS recently completed a campus expansion which has a theatre, art room, music room, rooftop garden, and housing for teachers. This expansion also includes a renovated outdoor space.
