. The Azerbaijani entry was selected through an internal selection. On 1 November 2013 it was revealed that Rustam Karimov would represent Azerbaijan in the contest. It was announced that his song would be called "Me and My Guitar".

. On 1 November 2013, Ä°ctimai revealed that 10-year-old Rustam Karimov would represent Azerbaijan. The title of the song was revealed to be "Me and My Guitar", and the song was presented to the public on 5 November 2013.
