. Born in Fort Worth and raised in central Texas, Roger Brown is the son of Texas ranchers. As a teenager, he began performing at local talent shows and dance halls. After graduating high school, he immersed himself in the thriving music scene in the area. This led to eventually being discovered by Monument Records’ Tex Davis and Wayland Stubblefield.
