Butterflies of Canada
There is one generation in May and June. Its habitats include short-grass and mixed grass prairie. The larvae feed on grasses, including blue grama ('' Bouteloua gracilis''). Adults feed on nectar from flowers including Drummond's milkvetch ('' Astragalus drummondii'').
