History

Following the sexual misconduct allegations against Malka, a number of former NeoGAF members and former moderators launched a new forum named ResetEra on October 24, 2017. In March 2021, ResetEra had over 53,000 registered users. In October 2021, the site was purchased by Swedish company MOBA Network. Accquisition

ResetEra was bought in 2021 by M.O.B.A. Network, a Swedish company that focuses on managing web based forums for video games and esports, for 4.5 million dollars. In a statement MOBA network said it wants to look into ways to increase advertising revenue through new ad formats and other ideas, and increase traffic flow, saying ResetEra has signifigant growth potential and can be used to reify new audiences for ads


Criticism

ResetEra has on occasion been criticized for toxicity, particularly over the
