Synopsis

Jacob is a bank manager with a wife, Christina, and a daughter, Sophia. They are struggling financially because of Sophia's aggressive

. A robber infiltrates Jacob's bank, kills a guard, and forces Jacob to open the vault by using him and another employee as a decoy while the robber makes his escape. Jacob discusses the robbery with his neighbor, James, a retired cop, and they analyze the robbery and other jobs that were committed by the robber, and they identidfy various signature traits. Using that knowledge, Jacob identifies the robber as Gabriel and that his next target is an armored car. During the robbery, Gabriel kills a guard and injures Maribel, the other guard, who knows Jacob from the bank. Jacob observes where Gabriel hid the money from the armored car. Gabriel finds the money missing since it was taken by Jacob and so Gabriel tracks Maribel to the hospital, at gunpoint forces her to call Jacob, and tells him to come to the hospital. Gabriel then shoots Maribel and makes his way to Jacob's house, where he kidnaps Christina and Sophia. With James's help, Jacob co-ordinates the drop-off of the money and the rescue of his family. Gabriel kills several police officers in a shootout but is finally killed by James. Six months later, Jacob has joined the police force as a rookie and follows in the footsteps of his father.
