She has been a driving force behind the many initiatives launched by NCW in recent years, aimed at providing women with support and assistance in times of need. Her leadership and vision have helped NCW in setting up new milestones and achieving new heights in its efforts to improve the lives of women across the country. Under her leadership, the Commission in collaboration with the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) launched a project series titled 'Training Programme of Protection Officers in Addressing Domestic Violence' to address the specific needs of Protection Officers in responding to survivors of domestic violence and to focus on the role of different stakeholders/service providers under the Act including police, legal aid services, health system, service providers, shelter services, one stop centres etc. The NCW launched a pan-India capacity building programme, "She is a Changemaker," for women representatives at all levels, from gramme panchayats to women parliamentarians and political workers, including office bearers of national/state political parties, in response to the commission's focus on enhancing the leadership skills of women. Making legal aid available to women is the most significant manifestation of women's empowerment. The District Legal Services Authority and NCW joined forces to develop a Legal Aid Clinic, which would serve as a single-window facility for addressing grievances of women by providing them with free legal advice, in an effort to make justice accessible for the most impoverished of the poor
