Political Scenario

Although Raghunathpura village is very old, but earlier it was a part of Govindsar Panchayat and if we talk about the princely period, then it was a part of Mahajan Jagir which was a part of Bikaner state . ✓Many persons from Raghunathpura village have established their dominance in Panchayati Raj and Zilla Parishad elections. Mr. Shivkaran Ji Sharma (Kakku) held the post of Sarpanch of Govindsar Panchayat for 15 consecutive years and Held the post of Up Pradhan. He was the first leader to start the politics in the village. And after the next few years Mr. Chanduram ji legha became the Pradhan of Panchayat Samiti Suratgar. ✓After a few years, Raghunathpura became a separate Panchayat and started participating in the general elections. * Till date, in the history of Raghunathpura, only three persons, Mr. Shivkaran sharma kakku , Mr. Chanduram Legha and Mr. Gauri shankar Sharma (Kakku) , have held the post of *Pradhan* and *Up+Pradhan* of Panchayat Samiti, Suratgarh.

Raghunathpura village contains a wide cultural diversity. Most of the people from the village are farmers. The village has a traditional Punjabi culture with Bagri influence.
