Banking career

(NU) left the Indonesian Muslim Syuro Council (Masyumi) and became an independent party. At that time, many doubted that NU would be able to become a party because it was considered that it did not have a cadre of experts to face Indonesia's political struggles. Minister of Trade

From 1958 to 1959 he was Minister of Trade.
