B.A Degree course was established in 1966 and M.A course was added in 1987. The department has been upgraded as a research institute to run M. Phil and Ph. D courses from the year 2011-12. The department also offers a certificate course on “Dress Designing” for first year students. God has blessed the department abundantly over the years with doctoral degrees in possession of many members of its staff. This is an incredible attainment in the outskirt of M.S.
