Beginning in fall 2009, the company sold women's clothing and, later, men's clothing, with the men's business retiring in August 2014. On January 23, 2015, Gap Inc. announced its decision to close Piperlime by the end of April 2015, in order to focus resources on its core brands. Piperlime was Gap's smallest brand, with annual revenue below $100 million, which was less than one percent of Gap's total revenue.
