Philip von Saltza (March 3, 1885 – January 21, 1980) was a Swedish-born American artist and muralist.


Early life

Philip Wenceslaus von Saltza was born in

. He immigrated to the United States with his parents, Carl Frederick von Saltza (1858–1905) and Wilhelmina Stoopendaal von Saltza (1863–1905) during 1891. His father was a portrait painter and professor at

Personal life

In 1910, he married Katherine Warren Hardenbergh. They were divorced in 1922. In 1925, he married Bertha Jane Miller. He was the father of five children.
