Early life

Peter Rycroft began piano lessons at age six, then took drum lessons and joined several bands during high school. Originally planning to enroll at the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts to study song production, Rycroft took a gap year to tour with a rock and blues band, and realized that he wanted to write songs.
