Pelican is a town in
Oneida County,
Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,902 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of

is located in the town. The town took its name from
Pelican Lake.
Geography
According to the
United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 54.2 square miles (140.2 km
2), of which, 51.5 square miles (133.3 km
2) of it is land and 2.7 square miles (7.0 km
2) of it (4.99%) is water.
