Virginia. Rising over the South Fork of the
Roanoke River, it supports numerous rare plants and
natural communities, including a
dolomite barren. Among the species found within the preserve are tall gay-feather (''
Liatris aspera'') and Addison's
leatherflower (''
Clematis addisonii
