The league was formed in 2005 from members of the Mohican Area Conference (Black River and Buckeye), the Lorain County Conference (Brookside, Clearview, Keystone, Oberlin, and Wellington), and the Metropolitan Area Conference (Brooklyn, Columbia, and Lutheran West).
