Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of the former Angut District) was 3,600.
There were 3,088 inhabitants in the following census of 2011.
The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 2,557. The most populous of its 30 villages was
Qasem Kandi, with 494 people.
In September 2019, the rural district was transferred to the Central District.
