The rite of coronation was executed by the Archbishop of Bombay, Cardinal Valerian Gracias on 25 March 1960. The Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments proclaimed her patroness of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia and designated the feast of the image on the Saturday preceding the Second Sunday of Ordinary Time with the permission to celebrate it also on Friday or Sunday on 5 January 2011.
