History

Osage City was surveyed and platted in late 1869, after the route of the

The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.95. The age distribution was 27.1% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 26.0% from 25 to 44, 19.6% from 45 to 64, and 20.9% 65 or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 91.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.2 males. The median household income was $31,979, and the median family income was $39,362.
