Hussein Kamel to commemorate the Muhammad Ali dynasty on 14 April 1915. It was discontinued on formation of the Arab Republic of Egypt on 18 June 1953. There were three classes (collar, grand cordon and commander) and two medals (gold and silver). The collar was restricted to heads of state and members of Egyptian and foreign Royal families; there were only fifteen at any one time.
