losses. Promoted were staff NCOs (Stabsfeldwebel, Stabswachtmeister, Stabsfeuerwerker, and/or Stabsoberjäger) who did have the appropriate rank at least for one month. Together with the staff NCOs the ''Offiziersstellvertreter'' formed the rank group of higher NCOs (de: higher Unteroffiziere).
