At Cambuur, Souren was set to work with head coach Henk de Jong, which reminded him of his late grandfather's words: "My grandfather was often here and always said, 'You need to work with Henk de Jong at Cambuur.' When Cambuur approached me, I found that very special."


International career

Souren made his international debut on 13 March 2015 for the Netherlands under-16 team, starting in a 4–0 friendly win over
