Of the agricultural land, 13.9% is used for growing crops and 15.6% is pastures, while 1.9% is used for orchards or vine crops and 10.4% is used for alpine pastures. All the water in the municipality is flowing water. The municipality is located in the Laufen district, in the Blauen hills. It consists of the ''haufendorf'' village (an irregular, unplanned and quite closely packed village, built around a central square) of Nenzlingen.
