The Negros leaf warbler (''Phylloscopus nigrorum'') is a songbird species from the leaf warbler family ( Phylloscopidae). It was formerly included in the " Old World warbler" assemblage. It is found in the Philippines. Its natural habitats are tropical moist montane forest above 800 meters above sea level.


Description and taxonomy

EBird describes the bird as "Small leaf warbler of montane rainforest throughout the Philippines. Dark crown lacking a crown stripe, dark eye-stripe, pale eyebrow, often a faint wing bar and white outer tail feathers. Color varies geographically. Eye-stripe can be yellow, whitish or buff; back is brown or olive-green; and belly whitish, yellow or streaked with yellow. Forages actively in upper levels of forest, often in mixed flocks. Compare with migratory leaf warblers. Song is a rolling series of high-pitched warbling notes."
