Mutyala Saralu ( Telugu: ముత్యాల సరాలు) is a compilation of Telugu poems written by
Gurajada Apparao Gurajada Venkata Apparao (21 September 1862 – 30 November 1915) was an Indian playwright, dramatist, poet, and writer known for his works in Telugu theatre. Rao wrote the play ''Kanyasulkam'' in 1892, which is considered as the greatest play i ...
in 1910. This has heralded the beginning of modern poetry in Telugu language. The traditional meter is replaced by a new lyrical and four beat balladic rhythm. These poems reflected the general social transformation in India.
