At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Joghatai District of
Sabzevar County) was 11,560 in 2,812 households.
There were 11,524 inhabitants in 3,140 households at the following census of 2011,
by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Joghatai County.
At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 11,273 in 3,453 households. The largest of its 31 villages was
Rivadeh, with 2,447 people.
