Fontana stated that the following thought crossed her mind: "...if I was slightly more depressed, or slightly less comfortable in my very lucky life, I might seriously consider ending things". Fans were outraged by the songwriter seemingly "making light of and trivializing" Sulli's death, accusing Fontana of using the singer's suicide to talk about herself, emphasizing the point that Fontana only referred twice to Sulli herself in the over 200-word-long statement.
