Biography

Originally trained as a medical doctor, she served as a deputy in the Grand Council of Vaud from 1990 to 1999 and was president of the Vaud Cantonal branch of the Swiss Party of Labour from 1988 to 1995. From 1996 to 2006 she served as a municipal councilor in the city of
