Education

Public education in the town of Manderson is provided by Big Horn County School District #4. The district had 4 campuses – Laura Irwin Elementary School (grades K-5), Cloud Peak Middle School (grades 6–8), and Riverside High School (grades 9-12). Manderson Elementary School (grades K-5), completed demolition early in 2022 leaving the small town with scarce business facilities, and no educational facilities within city limits. Despite the lack of funds for a school, the town is able to afford a 3 person police force and a town attorney. Presumably, to deal with the large number of fraudulent speeding tickets written to out-of-state travelers.
