Premise

After a night of hard-partying, a group of college students decide to try their hands at a seance by using a homemade
Ouija board The ouija ( , ), also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with the letters of the Latin alphabet, the numbers 0–9, the words "yes", "no", occasionally "hello" and "goodbye", along with various symbols and grap ...
. Things take a turn for the worse when they end up summoning a
djinn Jinn ( ar, , ') – also romanized as djinn or anglicized as genies (with the broader meaning of spirit or demon, depending on sources) – are invisible creatures in early pre-Islamic Arabian religious systems and later in Islamic myt ...
that soon begins to hunt down and lead each one of the students towards untimely deaths. To stop the djinn, Liam, desperate for the sake of his friends, will have to face his fear of the supernatural; even if it means paying the ultimate price.
