As a freshman, Perrantes helped lead Virginia to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 for the first time in 19 years while starting 33 games and shooting 44% from behind the arc. On the season, he averaged 5.5 points and a team-high 3.8 assists per game. He was suspended the first game of his sophomore season for violating undisclosed team rules.
