Located in the quiet neighborhood of Lodhi colony, Lodhi Art District is the first art district of India,popularising street art through large murals painted on the building exteriors . St+art India Foundation, an NGO in collaboration with residents of the colony, civic bodies, bring in artists of various repute and nationality to create magnificent street arts across the colony depicting wide range of subjects ranging from portraits, street scenes, animal and birds, patterns, floral motifs etc.  Themes such as Climate change, gender issues, environmental changes and pollution, togetherness and harmony, space exploration are some touched upon by various artists.   NiSpoon, a Polish artist created passionate and feminine  floral patterns that is very energetic yet inviting.  Portrait of a street paratha seller Padma is created by Henrik. DaLeast painted chaotic scene where hundreds of birds converge towards a central opening. Gaia explored the subject of global warming. LeHill also depicted climate change and pollution and peoples struggle to escape. Rakesh created an elephant within the surroundings of a jungle with Gond style of painting. An astronaut sitting over an asteroid is  brought about by Nevercrew. Lotus created by Suiko has an Indian soul yet uniquely Japanese in style.   There are over fifty such murals in this outdoor museum, accessible to viewers 24x7 free of any charge, making avant garde art work accessible to the masses. It has now become a major tourist destination in Delhi with available guided tours and is featured in tripadvisor, atlasobscura, google arts and culture and more.
