They are only issued for either Day 2 (with the event occurring the following day) or for Day 1 (on the day of the event). In contrast with high risk outlooks for severe weather outbreaks, extremely critical outlooks are commonly issued for Day 2. This is due to the fact that the conditions required for volatile wildfire spread are easier to predict well in advance than the conditions required for a major tornado outbreak
