History

The station was issued a licence to operate on 30 September 2011, and shortly after commenced broadcasting under the name Lisburn City Radio. It was renamed and officially launched as Lisburn's 98FM on 28 June 2012 during a ceremony which included Mayor William Leathem, local dignitaries and various community groups.
