Career

Lely started her career as a Srimpi dancer and made her film debut in ''Gara-Gara Mobil Baru'' (1953), followed by ''Putri dari Medan'' (1954). She appeared in five more films such as: ''Manusia Sutji'' (1955), ''Terang Bulan Terang Dikali'' (1956), ''Dibalik Dinding'' (1956), ''Sendja Indah'' (1957), and ''Desa Yang Dilupakan'' (1960) before leaving the film industry during the Indonesian film industry crisis in the early 1960s.
