The estate is named after Larkfield Farm, but Larkfield Road is mostly in

. The main road through the estate is Burns Road – all of Larkfield lower than Burns Road is known as the "bottom end" with everything above it the "top end".


Education

Aileymill and St Andrews primary schools are both situated in Larkfield. River Clyde Homes constructed 42 homes at the old Springfield site. Sacred Heart Primary School is home to the Larkfield Children's Centre.
