Lalin ( uk, Лялин, Ялин, ''Lialyn'') is a
village in the administrative district of
Gmina Sanok, within
Sanok County,
Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland.
It lies approximately north-west of
Sanok and south of the regional capital
Rzeszów.
The village has a population of 300.

Lemkos were afterwards forbidden to express their identity, to read Lemko literature, to practice Lemko traditions, to wear anything that might identify them as Lemko. Getting caught doing so meant punishment or even death.
