Within the lake are the islands of Hasselwerder, Lindwerder, Scharfenberg, Reiswerder, Baumwerder, Valentinswerder and Maienwerder. Scharfenberg, Valentinswerder and Maienwerder are accessible by some of Berlin's ferry services.
